The sun doesn't always shine in Southern California, much to the disappointment of the many visitors who come to spend a few days in the sun.
A local weather phenomenon known as "June gloom" creates overcast days when the marine layer moves onshore and blocks out the brilliant California sunshine.
These ladies are just waiting for the moment when the sun's rays burn through the gloom, and they can lounge and tan on what is unquestionably one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
